The classic Cuban Mojito cocktail...a simple recipe, but a great drink everyone could prepare and love. Prepare the cuban mojito recipe and enjoy it the same as Ernest Hemingway enjoyed it in La Bodeguita, Cuba.

Total time: 10 minutes
Cuban mojito recipe ingredients:
* White rum (50 ml)
* Club Soda (2 cups)
* Lime (1/2 lime)
* Mint (4-6 leaves, and a sprig)
* Powdered sugar (3 teaspoons)
* Ice cubes (3-4)

Cuban mojito recipe preparation:
1-Cut the half lime into 4 wedges.
2-Tear the mint leaves into a highball glass.
3-Add the powdered sugar, and the juice of three lime wedges.
4-Smash using a spoon or the back of a fork.
5-Add the ice cubes, and rum.
6-Fill with soda.
7-Use the sprig of mint and a lime wedge to decorate the drink.
8-Serve with a straw.

Note: This cocktail of more than 100 years is not as well documented as the Daiquiri and Cuba Libre. It is known that flourished in Havana night using native ingredients from the Caribbean. The Cuban Mojito would have been created by an Englishman on the high seas. The difference here is that the story of this drink was told in Cuban bars, especially in "La Bodeguita del Medio", by none other than the American writer Ernest Hemingway.
